He was predeceased by: his parents, J. B. McCarver and Mae Pearl Lewis; his grandparents, Lee and Mabel Madison; and his sisters, Sharon Simon and Deborah Munson.
He is survived by: his siblings, Carl Lewis, Carol Lewis, Linda Madison and Maurita Lewis. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
