She was predeceased by: her son Nathaniel Carr; her grandchildren, Myron Peoples, Antoinette Roach and Darryl Armstrong; and her parents, Elliott Holliday and Ethel Holliday.
She is survived by: her children, Aminah Basir (Abdullah), Joe Carr (Arlina), Michael Lee Carr (Sharon), Linda Hondo, Sandra Johnson and Deborah Carr; and her sister Cleo Daniels. She is also survived by grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren.
The lying in state was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home (268 North Perry St, Pontiac, MI 48342). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
