In loving memory of Marilyn Koch of Pontiac, Michigan, who departed this world on December 9, 2024 at the age of 86. Marilyn leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Though Marilyn may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Marilyn touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Garnett and Irene Garnett; her husband Edmund; and her daughter Peggy Whitman. She is survived by: her daughters, Kim June, Cheryl Hewitt (Cary) and Joann Goins (Rick). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Pixley Funeral Home (322 W University Dr, Rochester, MI 48307). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the same location.

“I am sorry to hear of the death of Marilyn Koch. I pray that her family will find comfort with their many memories of her. I believe she worked with me when I was teaching in Pontiac. I had her daughter in my classroom when she was in the fourth grade. She was helpful when the class went on field trips.”
