He was predeceased by: his parents, Alberta and Wes Carter, Sr.; and his siblings, Robert Carter, Nora Carter, Louis Carter, Wes Carter, Jr., Ivy Carter and Louise Carter.
He is survived by: his children, Wesley L. Carter and Tawrence D. Carter; his stepson Kragin G. Bush; his grandchildren, Alaiya Carter and Tatyana Bush; and his siblings, Francis Carter, Vera Martin, Albert Carter and James Carter. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
