With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Arthur Pickens (Pontiac, Michigan), who passed away on February 20, 2025 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Arthur is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Arthur's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Henry Ward, Jr. and Gertrude Drummer; and his brothers, James Pickens and Robert Pickens. He is survived by: his sisters, Diana Pickens-Chatmon, Gertrude Pickens-Lindsay and Mary Pickens-Lawson; the mothers of children, Margaret Williams and Rita Johnson; and his close friends, Larry Williams, Mattie Scott and Vincent Moore. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home (268 North Perry St, Pontiac, MI 48342). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
