She was predeceased by: her husband John Gatson, Sr.; her parents, June Morphis, Sr. and Gertrude Morphis; her sisters, June Morphis, Jr. and Frances Morphis; and her significant other Solomon Corley, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Sherry A. Gatson, John Gatson, Jr., Edward Owens and Angela Williams; her grandchildren, Jatina Cottingham, JaKresha Cottingham, Taylor, Ethan, Iris, Rain and Sai Williams; her great grandchildren, Amir Fofana, Avian Dickinson and Christian Harris; her sister Judith Harris; and her close friends, Craig Alexander and Viola Stanley. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home (268 North Perry St, Pontiac, MI 48342). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM and from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
