He was predeceased by: his parents, William Earl and Myrtle Bogard (Higgins); and his brother Richard Earl Bogard. He is survived by: his wife Ginger of Plymouth; his children, Sheri Zoeller (John) of Arlington Heights, Scott (Kelly Kempter) of Ann Arbor and Doug (Jan) of Ann Arbor; his grandchildren, Sarah, James, Hannah, Eric, Jahri, Rose and Erin; and his sister-in-law Susan Ankney. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many caring friends.
