He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ann Batryn; his sons, Dan (Jean) of Sunnyvale, CA and Gary (Tracy) of Brentwood, NH.; his grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Jennifer, Mariana, Keith and Olivia; and his great grandchildren, Callan and Lilah.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Walter to GBS-CIDP Foundation International, a Guillain-Barre Syndrome foundation for funding research grants at https://www.gbs-cidp.org.
