He was predeceased by: his wife Catherine; his brothers, James Swider (Kyle) and Gary Swider; and his parents, Richard and Helen.
He is survived by: his sisters, Clarice Urbiel (Deacon Joe), Marcia Valentine (John) and Judy Burton (Tom); his siblings-in-law, Kevin Carney (Liz), Mary Carney and Ann Marie Monette (Chris); and his godchildren, Lisa Valentine and Jacob Carney. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
