He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Elizabeth Gates (Craig John) of Plymouth, Sherry McCargar (James) of Dexter and Robert of Ocala, FL; and his grandchildren, Elisabeth Schager (Griffin), Catherine John, Shawn McCargar and Erin McCargar (Manuel Guzman).

They shared 18 years punctuated by RV adventures, beloved Hawaii excursions, and ultimately his constant care as Peggy succumbed to Alzheimer's.
