He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Skelley (Seemer); his daughter Kathleen Margaret Skelley; his grandson Matthew Patrick Skelley; and his siblings, William, Jerome, Michael, Kathleen Felix and Sheila Skelley.
He is survived by: his great grandchildren, Adeline, Oliver, Theodore and Bennett Helmus; his grandchildren, Amanda Helmus (Michael) and James Skelley; his children, Terence (Tina), Paul (Jill) and Maureen Skelley; and his sisters, Mary Ellen Ritter and Rita Billingsley. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
The family requests donations to the Chemung County Historical Society, 415 E. Water Street, Elmira, NY 14901, in lieu of flowers.
