He is survived by: his father Don Helmboldt; his children, Stacy Gearhart (Dan) of Three Rivers, Kara Ratcliffe (Daniel) of Grand Rapids, Jake Helmboldt (Jessica) of Martin, Tyler Lester (Zoe) of Gobles and Luke Helmboldt (Angela) of Plainwell; his wife Lorie Lester; his parents-in-law, Bernard and Louise Lester; his sisters, Jenny Anderson (Mark) and Krys Dutkiewicz (Rick); his siblings-in-law, Julie Taylor (Bob) and Rod Lester; and his friend Joe Baldwin. He is also survived by children and grandchildren.
