She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Leo Cooper and Barbara Cooper (Waldner); her husband John McDowell; her children, Nate McDowell (Janet) of Eagen, Andrea May of Muncie and Josh McDowell of Pittsford; her grandchildren, Aiden, Hazel, James and Haleigh; and her siblings, Allen Cooper, Craig Cooper (Lucy) and Deb Cooper (Richard).
