He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Lavern, Grace Bodrie and Eva Bodrie; and his aunts, Janice Dittenbir and Helen Bodrie.

He is survived by: his parents, LeRoy Atwater and Jeannine Atwater (Bodrie); his daughter Grace Atwater (Victor Underwood); his siblings, Brian (Connie), Tim (Tiffany) and Tonia Wilczynski (Steve); his aunts and uncles, Alfred Bodrie (Dawn Kershner), Annlee Greyerbiehl (Gerry), Judy Krzysik (John), Ed Dittenbir, Bruce Bodrie (Linda), George Bodrie, Sam Bodrie (Renee), Robert Bodrie, Kellie Bodrie and Donald Garrow; and his close friend Pat Neering. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that any memorials or contributions be made to his daughter Grace Atwater.
