He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Szyperski and Viola Szyperski (Daniels); his siblings, Thomas Szyperski, Rita Kerr (Alex), Charles Szyperski (Eunice), George Szyperski (Lou) and Dorothy Szyperski (Warren); and his nephew Jeff Szyperski.

He is survived by: his close friend Betty VanPelt; his grandchildren, Drake and Journie; and his son Robert.
