Charles L. Peckham Obituary
Charles L. J. Peckham, of Pinconning, Michigan, passed away on February 15, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on August 8, 1937, in Indian River, Michigan to the late Charles S. & Lillian (Matthews) Peckham. Charles's journey through life was marked by an unwavering spirit of love and camaraderie.
Charles was a loving father to his children, Charles D. (Debbie), Karen M., Kevin (Pam), and Richard (Valerie) Dietlein, daughter-in-law Kelly Peckham. His legacy further blossomed with the joy of his 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense happiness and pride to his life. Charles's role as a family man was characterized by his loving nature, always providing a strong and caring presence in the lives of his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his wife Elin A., and son David A. Peckham.
Charles's passion for his horse farm was a testament to his active and engaged lifestyle. He was a familiar face at many local events, often participating in parades where his friendly demeanor and handy skills were always on display. His love for horses and the community events they brought together was a significant part of who he was, and it left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, February 21, 2025 at Rivertown Funeral Chapel at 7:00 pm with friends and family sharing. Friends and family may visit at the chapel from 2:00 pm until the time of service. Because of his love of horses there will be a horse drawn carriage ride in the spring with a memorial service at the Mt. Forest Township Cemetery.
