With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard C. Higgs of Pinckney, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on May 22, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Higgs and Lorraine Higgs (Jurnis); and his siblings, William Higgs, Robert Higgs, Midge Waters, Lola Campbell and James Higgs.

He is survived by: his children, Richard Higgs and Sherry "Honey" Johnson (Garry "Bub"); his sister Fran Dinkel; his grandchildren, Kyle Higgs, Ashlee O'Connell (Tommy) and Scott Johnson (Caroline); and his great grandchildren, Mason Johnson, Saylor Johnson, Carter O'Connell and Payton O'Connell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
