It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Zita Olga Sturm of Pigeon, Michigan, who passed away on October 22, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ludwig Ecker and Theresia Ecker; and her brother Hubert Ecker. She is survived by: her husband Waldo DeVere Sturm; her children, Eva Sturm (Larry) of Port Austin, Julia Sturm of Marshall, Anne Sturm (Christian) of Ann Arbor and Benjamin Sturm of Pleasanton, CA; her grandchildren, Nicole, Patrick (Caroline), David, Victoria, Greta, Clara, Oliver, Samuel and Noah; and her sister Erika Ecker of Pattendorf, Germany..
Visitation was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Pigeon First United Methodist Church (7102 E Michigan Ave, Pigeon, MI 48755). A memorial service was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial contributions to 'United Women in Faith' of Pigeon First United Methodist Church.
