He was predeceased by: his siblings, William, James, Dorothy Hafner, Ruth Heck, Evelyn B. and Betty Dunn; and his brothers-in-law, Omar Hafner, Ray Heck, Lloyd Bo, Nelson Dunn and Delyle Deering.
He is survived by: his spouse Bette Lobdell; his children, Patricia Diebel (Jay) of Sandusky, Gerald (Angela) of Owendale, Michael of St. Clair Shores and Cindy of Roseville; his grandchildren, Rebecca Anna (Jeremy), Aaron Anna, Jeremy Anna (Kristen), Jeff Anna (Alicia), Kevin Anna (Sammi), Chad Anna (Joscelyne), Derek Anna (Michelle) and Bree Anna (Steven); his great grandchildren, Madison, Chloe, Mason, Caden, Shaianne, Bryce, Jerome, Jullian, Kirsten, Calie and Peyton; his great great grandchild Damon; his sisters, Ava Gies (Henry) of Linkville and May Deering of Pigeon; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Dubs of Bay Port, Valeria Dubs of Lewisville and Tina Hedge.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church for the parking lot fund.
