He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Sr. Szankin and Rose Szankin; and his siblings, Gerald, Anthony Jr., Sr., Mary DePaul (Bernadine), Delphine and Mary Jane.
He is survived by: his wife Eleanor; his daughters, Kathleen Jameson (Philip) and Christine Fisher (Andrew Pawlik); and his grandchildren, Marisa and Jack Fisher. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wasik Funeral Home (49150 Schoenherr Rd, Shelby Twp, MI 48315). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Wasik Funeral Home, Inc. (49150 Schoenherr Rd, Shelby Twp, MI 48315). The lying in state was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church (44429 Utica Rd, Utica, MI 48317). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
