He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Carter and Margaret M. Carter (Rowland); and his brothers, Byron, Donald and Maynard.
He is survived by: his grandson Western; his children, Art, Brenda (Rich), Yvonne (Robert) and Yvette Nash (Nathan); and his grandson Keegan.
