He was predeceased by: his father Walter Schember; his brothers, Dale, Darold, Clare and Edwin; and his daughter-in-law Stephanie.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Brakenberry; his sons, Philip (Holley) of Allen Park and Douglas (Kari) of Bay Port; his grandchildren, Courtney, Nicholas, Lauren, Aiden, Owen, Rachel and Evan; and his sister Josephine Rockefeller (Larry) of Owendale.
Memorials may be made to the Michigan Ave. Mennonite Church.
