He is survived by: his wife Shawn; his children, Tim Koetje, Travis Koetje (Joyelle Monroe) and Traci Koetje; his stepchildren, Jon Cross (Amber) and Kimberly Rice (Matt); his mother Betty Koetje; and his siblings, Lynn Sterzik, Lorrie Shepard (Doug), Lisa Burwell (Sam) and Randy Koetje. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
