It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Lynn McDowell (Pickford, Michigan), born in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan, who passed away on August 20, 2020, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Leonard McDowell; his grandparents, Fred, Gertrude Dowd, Elmer and Edith McDowell; his parents-in-law, John B. and Charlene Meehan; and his siblings-in-law, Suesan Casino-Meehan, Shirley Meehan (Williams), Barbara Meehan and Michael A. Meehan.
He is survived by: his uncle Gerald Ehle; his children, Michael B. McDowell (Sarah) and Melissa L. Fountain (Marc); his wife Christine A. McDowell; his mother Doris R. McDowell (Dowd) of Rudyard; his children, Jarett and Keith of Kinross; his grandsons, Elijah and Ian of Cottage Park; his siblings, Debbie Mullins (Rick) of Ferndale, Randy McDowell of Rudyard and Kori Eby (Jim) of Rudyard; and his siblings-in-law, Pat, Dan, Steve (Mary Jo), Tom Meehan (Patty), Kathleen Windmueller (Dave) and Barb Linck (John). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rick's name may be made to EUP Hospice or EUP Hospice House, St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church Rudyard Building Fund, or St. Mary's School in Sault Ste. Marie.
