He was predeceased by: his parents, James Albert (Bert) and Katie Lavina MacDonald (Galer); his wife Virgene Anne Cottle; his siblings, Edwin Junior, James Merrill MacDonald, Katherine Joy and Gertrude Elizabeth MacDonald; his siblings-in-law, Myrtle Crawford MacDonald, Barbara Cottle Callentine, Merlin Galer and Bill Callentine; and his nephews, Brad Cottle and Bobby MacDonald.
He is survived by: his children, Carol Anne Lamb (Jeff), Wayne Marvin MacDonald (Ruth) of Pickford and Steven Carl MacDonald (Cindi) of Kalamazoo; his grandchildren, Patrick Lamb (Kim), Laura Lamb, Katie Wood (Paul), Joel MacDonald (Jaime), Jana Copenhafer (Nate), Alisa Davis (Ben) and Craig MacDonald; his siblings-in-law, Lorraine Galer, Gerald Cottle (Sharon) and Charles Cottle (Marcia); and his close friends, Clint and Barb Groover. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
