He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Sr. and Phyllis Irene Brown (Carter); his brother-in-law Junior Watters; his nephew Donnie Humphrey; and his niece Patty Irene Watters.
He is survived by: his children, Patrick Fuchs (Alex) of Erlangen, Germany, Annie Brown-Odom (David) of Colorado Springs and Starr Brown of Pickford; his grandchildren, Robbie Brown-Lee, Peyton Odom, Niklas Fuchs, Evelyn Odom, Ronja Fuchs and McKenna Brown; his siblings, Cindy Brown (Jim) of Jackson, Patty Watters (George) of Hamburg, Michigan and Terry Langston (Nichol) of Livonia, Michigan; and his friend Sue Caroffino of Cedarville, Michigan.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
