He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hall Thaddeus and Helen Sparkman (Wightman); his wife Mary of Pickford; his sons, Eric Sparkman (Julie) of Louisville and Kurt Sparkman (Heidi) of St. Joseph, Michigan; his grandchildren, Shane Sparkman, Matthew Sparkman, Nathanial Sparkman, Ashlyn Icenhower, Audrey Icenhower, Brandon Maahs and Dalton Maahs; his great grandchildren, Anastasia, Makeni and Natalie; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Heraty (Christine) of Farmington Hills, Michigan and Debra Heraty of St. Clair. He was also cherished by nieces, a nephew and several cousins.
Memorials in Gregory's honor may be made out to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
