She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Rutledge and Gladys Rutledge (Wise); her husband Harry Smith; and her brothers-in-law, Dewey Smith (Greta), Albert Smith (Mayme), Wilson Smith, Lyle Smith (Anne), William J. Smith (Adrienne), Elwin Smith (Jane), John Smith (Flora), Frank Smith (Marcie) and Edward Hessel.
She is survived by: her children, Cathy Smith (Arlene King) of Sault Ste, Cindy Smith of Pickford and Christopher Smith (Judith Merrill-Smith) of Sault Ste; her grandson Ross Smith of Peoria, Illinois.; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Hessel and Donald "Pete" Smith (Evelyn).
