She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyle William and Margaret Mary McLeod (Mertaugh); her siblings, William McLeod (Doris), Francis "Geet" McLeod, Thomas McLeod, Michael McLeod and Jane Hobbs; and her brothers-in-law, Ernest "Bud" Carr, Harry Smith, C. Edward Hessel, Albert Smith (Mayme), Wilson Smith, Lyle Smith (Ann), F. Elwin Smith (Jane), John Smith (Flora), Dewey Smith (Greta) and Franklin Smith (Marcie).
She is survived by: her husband William J "Jay" Smith; her children, Lawrence M. Smith (Tammy) of Flower Mound, William H. Smith of Sault Ste, Mark C. Smith (Michele) of Harbor Springs, Michigan and Gwendolyn M. La Joie (Keith) of Sault Ste; her grandchildren, Nicholas Smith (Caitlin), Stephanie Smith, Kirstan La Joie, Collin La Joie and Miranda Smith; her great grandchildren, Owen and Charlotte Smith; her sisters, MaryAnn Carr of Cedarville, Angela Porco (Jack) of Sault Ste, Marie and Ontario; and her siblings-in-law, Marilyn McLeod of Hessel, Mary Hessel of Pellston, Gloria Smith of Pickford and Donald "Pete" Smith (Evelyn) of Petersburg, Michigan. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
