He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hendee and Barbara Hendee of Portland. He is survived by: his wife Luann; his children, Duane (Amy), Craig (Marissa) and Kimberly Loomis (Robert); and his grandchildren, Katelyn, Nicholas, Tyler, Matthew Hendee, April Bucio, Caleb, Paxton, Bennett and Alaina Loomis.

In lieu of flowers, Gary had requested that donations be made to the Pewamo-Westphalia basketball program or the Pewamo Fire Department.
