He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hendee and Barbara Hendee of Portland. He is survived by: his wife Luann; his children, Duane (Amy), Craig (Marissa) and Kimberly Loomis (Robert); and his grandchildren, Katelyn, Nicholas, Tyler, Matthew Hendee, April Bucio, Caleb, Paxton, Bennett and Alaina Loomis.
A rosary was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 1:15 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (126 East St, Pewamo, MI 48873). Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 3:30 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery (126 East St, Pewamo, MI 48873).
In lieu of flowers, Gary had requested that donations be made to the Pewamo-Westphalia basketball program or the Pewamo Fire Department.
