He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Chartrand and Catherine Chartrand (Smith); his wife Marlene (Werner); his granddaughter Alyssa Cassel; his sister Sandy Platte; and his brother-in-law Dan Shattuck.
He is survived by: his children, Bradley Chartrand (Mary), Wendy Kirby (Marty) and Denise Edwards (Brian); his grandchildren, Rebecca Chartrand (Mario Roberts), Adam Chartrand (Jenna), Alex Chartrand, Brianna Johnson, Mason Johnson, Mya Kirby, Brendan Cassel (Madison Gensterblum), Kennedy Cassel, Triston Edwards, Nik Edwards, Skyler Edwards and Karter Edwards; his great grandchildren, Gabriel Chartrand and Mina Rae Chartrand; his siblings, Tim Chartrand (Cora), Cathy Shattuck, Becky Henry (Nick), Mary Dothsuk (Dave), Shelly Chartrand and Lisa Morris (Terry); and his brother-in-law Hilary Platte. He is also survived by in-laws, nieces and nephews.
