He was predeceased by: his parents, Johannes and Petronella Van Berlo; and his siblings, Anna Peters, Truus, Ted, Harrie Van Berlo, Nelly and Henk.
He is survived by: his children, Bill and Sue; his wife Sue; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Van Berlo, Adam Van Berlo, Alicia Huwyler (Jason), Nicholas Van Berlo (Terra), Kaitlin Hahn (Rob), Molly Evans (Jarrod), Heather Kanitz (Mark), Jacob Montgomery (Chelsey), Ben Montgomery (Lauren) and Joshua Montgomery; his great grandchildren, Eden Van Berlo, Ashlyn, Aryanna, Alexandria Huwyler, Zoey Hahn, Maia Evans, Gabriel Kanitz, Asher, Levi Montgomery and Lily Montgomery; his siblings, Tiny Willems of St. Clair Shores, Riek, Maria, Saan, Jan, Gerrit and Trudy; and also, Peter Van Berlo (Barbara) of Acme, Martie Van Berlo (Cindy) of Harbor Springs, Joanne Rowden (Gary) of Ohio and Suzanne Montgomery (Bill) of Etowah.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to support St. Michael High School in Petoskey, or a Parkinson's Disease research organization (to be determined by the family) that is dedicated to continued research to find ways to lessen the physical and emotional effects of those affected by Parkinson's Disease.
