With solemn reverence, we commemorate Walter Isidore Diermier of Petoskey, Michigan, whose life came to an end on October 29, 2024 at the age of 81, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Diermier and Helen Diermier (Gross); and his siblings, Jimmy Diermier, Joe Diermier, Ruth Evans and Clara Fryer.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Diermier (Keiser); his daughters, Kelly Olsen (Keith) and Stacey Spencer (Benji); his grandchildren, Justin Olsen (Mackenzie), Dylan Olsen (Susanna), Carly Spencer and Remington Spencer; his sister Margaret Kelbel (Bill); his brothers-in-law, Ray Evans and Bernard Keiser; his nieces, Carol Vedrode (Jerry) and Nancy Kilpatrick (Jerry); his great-nephew Walter; and his great-nieces, Tanya Kilpatrick and Theresa Kilpatrick (Tiffany). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A rosary was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Stone Funeral Home (2098 E Mitchell Rd, Petoskey, MI 49770). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 11:30 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church (513 Howard St, Petoskey, MI 49770). A committal service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 1:15 PM at the Bliss Township Cemetery. The military honors was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 1:15 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Little Traverse Bay Humane Society or to the family.
