She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Foster Otto and Christine Otto (Baker); her husband John J. High; her children, Renee Joan Chingwa and Henry John Chingwa; and also Howard John Chingwa, Sr..
She is survived by: her spouse Howard John Chingwa, Sr.; and her children, Howard John "Johnny" Chingwa, Nathaniel John Chingwa (Mary), Cassandra Joan Chingwa, Terisita Joan Chingwa, Lonnie John Chingwa (Melissa), Daniel John Chingwa (Janada), Celeste Joan Chingwa, Aaron Kevin Chingwa and Sheila Lorinda Chingwa. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, many great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
