She was predeceased by: her parents, Josephine Swift (Ladd) and Lyle Swift; her son Lyle; and her siblings, Chuck Swift, Richard Swift, Mary Kay Corder and Shirley Bice.
She is survived by: her husband Franklin M. Byers; her stepsons, Franklin Jr. and Norman; her sons, Frank Byers of Muskegon and Norm; her daughter-in-law Brenda; and her grandchildren, Jared of Petoskey, Michigan., Jalynn of Petoskey, Michigan. and Janssen Byers of Petoskey, Michigan..
