Minnie Viola Smith Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Minnie Viola Smith of Petoskey, Michigan, born in DeGraff, Ohio, who passed away on January 20, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Roby and Carrie Roby (Strong); her husbands, Luther Ray Neer and Alfred Lee Smith; her sons-in-law, Michael Bavin and Dick Keller; her stepson-in-law Steve Shephard; and her siblings, Rosella Oder, Leana Elliot, Marcella Clement, Phyllis Hacker, Harold Roby, Paul Roby and Walter Roby.

She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Bavin (Robert Krupa) of Petoskey and Jane Keller of Harbor Springs; her stepchildren, Albert Smith, Terry Smith (Carol), Donna Shephard and Dorothy Fesh (Ron); and her siblings, Virginia Fergus and Orville Roby. She is also survived by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
