She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Albert Wilhelm and Virginia Wilhelm (Donnelly); her children, Al Elya, Jr. (Cindy) of Brutus, Debbie "Jean" Leiber (Harry "Chip") of Grand Ledge, Dave Elya (Kathy) of Harbor Springs and Janet Bedrick (Larry) of Texas; her husband Allen Elya, Sr.; her daughter Wendy Boynton; and her granddaughter Andrea "Annie" Leiber. She was also cherished by nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Contributions in memory of Leona may be made to Meals on Wheels or Hospice of Michigan.
