He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Lemieur and Helen Lemieur of Petoskey; his brother Ralph; his granddaughter Emily Rose Page; and his parents-in-law, Roy and Penny Pemberton.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Lynn Pemberton; his children, James Schlappi (Lorie), Joseph Schlappi (Crystal Smith), Michele Rhome (Tony) and Edward Lemieur (Kelly); his grandchildren, Johnny, Jacob Schlappi, Landon, Connor Page, Paisley Schlappi, Presley Smith, Madison Rhome and Benjamin Lemieur; and his friends, Larry Hofbauer, Harold Keck and John Hoffman. He is also survived by the oldest of nine children.
