He was predeceased by: his parents, A. J. Zaresmski and Christine Zaresmski (Kuglur); his children, Michael John and Catherine Ann; his stepmother Dolores "Dee" Zaremski (Burns); his sister Irene "Corky" (Harold "Doc" Cabana); his brother-in-law Donald Walker; and his nephew Donnie Walker.

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Hofbauer; his sister Betty Walker; and also, David Faulkner, David Zmikly and Rae Jean Swadling. He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews.
