He is survived by: his mother Rita Gilbert (Smith); his son John; his sister Truda Kruger (Gilbert); his nieces and nephews, Rone Gilbert of Tumwater Washington, Anne Gilbert of Saint George Utah, Katherine Brown (Gilbert), Shane Brown of Springville Utah, Meredith Hookes (Gilbert), Hernan Hookes, Kenneth Gilbert, Rea Langlois of Ritzville Washington, Chelsea Monette (Gilbert), Hayden Monette of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, Robin Hafen (Gilbert), Cameron Hafen of Enterprise Utah, Joshua Schomp, Angie Schomp (Turner), SaraHannah Schomp of Lansing Michigan, Zachary Schomp and Marcella Schomp (Fuentes Tapia); his close friend Colin Middleton; and his brother Jim Gilbert.
