He is survived by: his mother Margaret Collins; his children, Casey VanPetten (Curtis), Jessica Collins and Spencer Collins; his granddaughters, Nora VanPetten and Ava VanPetten; and his siblings, Edward Collins Jr. (Ann), Francis Collins (Shirley), Anne Bolger, Jim Collins (Ave), Mary D'Agostino (Mark) and Margaret Ann Eker (Halil).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Brother Dan's Food Pantry in Petoskey.
