He was predeceased by: his father Louis Schantz; and his brother-in-law Tad Frayseth. He is survived by: his parent Gayle Schantz (Griffin); his wife Amy Schantz of Petoskey; his daughters, Mariette Schantz (Thomas Ingersoll) of Petoskey, Brooke Schantz of Petoskey and Mom Gayle Schantz of Ormond Beach, Florida; and his siblings, Marcy Frayseth (Tod Graves) of Ormond Beach, Florida and Tim Schantz (Michele) of Mattawan, Michigan. He is also survived by three nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stone Funeral Home (2098 E Mitchell Rd, Petoskey, MI 49770).
