We bid farewell to DDS Hubert Hayes of Petoskey, Michigan, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 14, 2024 at the age of 100. DDS touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parent Lottie Keiser Hayes; his siblings, Ashton, Morgan, Charles, Robert, Richard, John and Betty Jean; and his son-in-law Doug Stone.

He is survived by: his children, Stephen Hayes, Daniel Hayes (Cheryl), Andrew Hayes (Cindy), Mary Hayes Stone and Margaret Hayes Goldsmith (Ken); and his sister-in-law Ann Hayes. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Petoskey United Methodist Church (1804 E Mitchell Rd, Petoskey, MI 49770).

In lieu of flowers, family members suggest donations to the Petoskey United Methodist Church, Petoskey Lions Club, or Hospice of Michigan.

“Family of Hubert, I only knew Hubert & Sally as a member of the 29ers. I first met them in Maine in about 1994/1995 in Maine at one of our projects. To know them was to love them. He was so generous as well as humorous and fun to be with. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend his 100th Birthday celebration - I live in Portage and the distance kept me too far to attend. I will always remember them and being with them in their warm and loving home. God Bless the family, Jane Cornette Smeed”
