He was predeceased by: his parents, Leona Schalk (Brege) and Harold Schalk; his wife Jen Schalk; his parents-in-law, Warren and Evelyn Dwyer; and his brother-in-law John Dwyer.
He is survived by: his children, Kristie Juday (Ben), Kevin Schalk (Shelly) and Keith Schalk (Janice); his grandchildren, Kurt (Megan), Lorne, Natalie, Nicholas, Elijah and Sarah; his great grandchildren, Trent, Vinny, Faith, Olin and Jocelyn; his nephews, Jeff Dwyer (Nancy) and Steve Dwyer (Barb); and his niece Sue Dwyer-Voss (Ron).
