He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Willard James and Valeria Hitsman (Yarrington); his wife Dorothy; his children, Mark Hitsman (Sheryl) and Kathy Martindale (David); his grandchildren, Ian, Sarah of St. Ignace and Amy Martindale of Petoskey; his great grandchild Jessica Hitsman; and his sister Iva Blackhurst.
