He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Breitner and Edna Breitner (Redick) of Petersburg, Michigan.; and his brother Dennis Breitner. He is survived by: his wife Lila Kay Sisty (Sisty); his children, Jeff (Amy), Mike (Yajaira) and Sarah; his grandchildren, Brendan Breitner, Sean Breitner and Emma O'Connell; and his brother Glen Breitner.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Dundee United Methodist Church, Hospice of Lenawee, or Habitat for Humanity.
