He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Irvin Martin; his wife Phyllis Joan Hanke; his children, David Sieler (Tina) of Petersburg, Bruce Sieler of Petersburg and Susan Russell of Lafollette, Tennessee; his brothers, Walter Sieler of Deerfield, Melvin Sieler (Connie) of Deerfield, Wilbert Sieler (Judy) of Dundee and LeRoy Sieler (Fran) of Tipton; his sister-in-law Delight Sieler of Adrian; his sister Carol Cilley (Delmer) of Dundee; his grandchildren, Jason, Stephen, Gregory Russell, Nicholas, Alex, Karissa, Korie Sieler, Jessica Whiteker, Megan Smith and Casie Ladd; his mother Edna Sieler; his son Thomas Sieler; his son-in-law Cletus Russell; his siblings, Melva Young (Merelin) and Orville Sieler; and his sister-in-law Donna Sieler. He was also cherished by many great grandchildren.
