He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmo Harris and Mae Harris (Lacy); his wife Helen Logemann; and his brothers, Dallas, Norman, Kenneth and William (Jim).

He is survived by: his sons, Jack Harris (Jayne) and John Harris (Darlene); his grandchildren, Brittany Hugger (Craig), Danyne Lambert (Joshua), Colleen Andersen (Eddie), Elmo Harris, Evan Harris (Emily Temple) and Emmet Harris; his great grandchildren, Adelaide and Millicent Lambert; and his sisters, Alberta Westfahl and Sharon Stackelhouse.

Memorial contributions in George's name are suggested to the Perry Church of the Nazarene.
