He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace E. Schmidt and Eleanor Alice Schmidt (Melbrandt); and his sister Darlene Doucette. He is survived by: his wife Betty Morgan; his sons, Mark Schmidt (Kelly), Billy Schmidt (Val) and Kevin Schmidt (Sandy); his stepdaughters, Christina Baker (José) and Dawn McCormick (Tim); and his brothers, Wallace Schmidt (Jean) and Robin Lish (Jim).
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Our Savior Lutheran Church (3333 W Britton Rd, Perry, MI 48872). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Perry Township Hall (2770 W Ellsworth Rd, Perry, MI 48872).
