He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Avery and Mildred Avery (Nisonger); and his sisters, Leila (Ken Walker), Alberta Wise, Sharon (Jim Husted), Violet (Otto Holloway) and Mary Avery.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Avery; his children, Randy (Tonya Avery), Rick (Jen Avery), Jeremy (Ron Avery), Kim (Josh McKinley) and Lisa Powell; his grandchildren, Peyton, Jasmyn, Katie, Chloe, Leighara, Leighora, Reagan, Gracie and Ella; and his siblings, Rose Griggs, James Avery, Betty (Dan Griggs), David (Judy Avery), Paul (Karen Avery), Junior Wise, Bryan (Kathy Miller), Shawn (Dave Kiley) and Chris (John Phillips). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
